That's good to hear, very good news. I'm glad for you, you must be very proud of your daughter. She's as smart as his dad, or probably even smarter. You've never told us you were married, and you had children though. This is a big surprise. When did it happen? Just curiosity :)

I hope so too, thanks bro. Sadly I can't change that feeling of being dead. It's not other people's fault, it's something that comes from inside, and from the stress of life. Thanks by the way. I also hope things get better on this side of the world.

About your question, that's what I was planning. I'm not gonna punish people indiscriminately. I've never had that intention. I just find it silly that people get so heated about such boring topics like politics and stuff. Insulting people just because they have different views of the world should be forbidden, imo, even if some people think it's against their freedom of speech. Anyway, I tried my best to reply to some of your questions in the thread I've created. Thanks for the kind words. I hope you didn't call me "benevolent mod" in a sarcastic way, lol.

    Talk to you later~

Yes, proud isn't strong enough an adjective for how I feel about her meritorious scholastic accomplishments. She applies her intellect in a consistent and deliberate manner. I have been a father for over seventeen years now and have only one child; it and marriage happened when I was a different person. I don't speak of my own personal life much, I prefer to help others with their lives instead.

The stressors in life trigger many negative, even potentially self destructive effects. You are right, you cannot blame the way you feel on others as a person is generally as happy as they decide to be. They who are the trolls of this world seek to make themselves feel self-important, relevant, and/or significant via their denigration of others. Unfortunately, such actions are akin to feeding a black hole, no "light" escapes, their hearts becoming ever darker and heavier. You are not a type such as this. You should already know that I am a straight shooter. I avoid sarcasm and I did indeed mean in all sincerity that you are and are noteworthy as a "benevolent mod." You didn't want the job at the time I offered it; regardless, you proved my instincts to be correct and you deserve the title moderator and are well suited for the responsibilities that come with it.

A testament to my above assessment, I believe the manner in which you handled the subject of inflammatory topics was spot on. If you and the other (currently active staff) continue to foster a positive and fun environment I believe that Minitokyo will have additional relevance and continued longevity. Negative actions by members and staff alike should be discouraged; you know that. Continue to encourage and praise members and staff who support Minitokyo in such a positive manner.

Hooyaah was fast to question me about the message I left on your GB. Don't worry about it, I'm gonna answer that in the thread I've created in the OT forums.

Thanks for the update. Sounds good to me.

Oh really... I hope you got bitten by Cerberus. If not, I'm gonna send him to your GB =w=

Sakura and Syaoran guards my GB powered by a bishie who's created by Golden Goddess, Alenas herself. And protected by 2 Mai-chan seals. Good luck to your Cerberus, lol.

Hey Hoo, long time no talk.

I agree with some of the things you said. I think that lately, things have been escalating in a bad way, especially between those people who love to argue about politics. You probably know that I don't have anything against Uberdog, Myri or any of the guys who were participating in those political "debates", but they have to remember that this is an anime oriented site. There's no such thing as a First Ammendment or a right to free speech in MT's ToS. As a mod, I've been too patient with everybody, because most people here are friends of mine. I can't be partial like that anymore. Even if people start feeling targeted or they start thinking mods are dictators, I'm gonna delete inflamatory comments and close threads if I see things are getting sour. That's the only option they have left me.

I'm sure you saw Uberdog's messages about North korea. I don't know what's up with that, but those messages had nothing to do with the thread he was posting in. What I gave him wasn't even a warning, so I don't think he'll feel targeted by me. In any case, I've talked with Myri in the past about her political messages too. Up until now, nobody got a single warning or got muted. I don't do things like that. I want things to stay like they always were. I want things to stay as civil as possible, to be honest. I'm not afraid of hurting people's feelings though, if I see it necessary.

Thanks for your words of encouragement, by the way.

Hmmm anyway, what are you up to lately? How's life?

Life is good, thanks for asking and I truly hope that things are better for you these days. You aught not feel as if you are "dead to people." It may be, however, that not all people take the time to really get to know, understand, and appreciate you. That, unfortunately is far to common a thing it seems in the times in which we live, a time of apathy, ignorance, and self indulgence. Just believe in who you are and don't allow others to steal your joy.

I don't disagree with anything in your above post. My point was that if an initial post is political and leads to a reactionary and equally objectionable retort, then both parties are guilty and worth giving due notice. It's not like poking a bear with a stick, because humans should be better able to control their reactions and exit such a situation gracefully, unlike a bear's reflexive nasty response. That's the way I look at the issue anyway, but it's up to you and the current staff to make such decisions and diffuse such occurrences as you deem appropriate. I do think that a political debate group might keep such topics out of the public forums and let members have fun without becoming uncomfortable. The current staff has done much to help keep Minitokyo an enjoyable escape from the daily grind of the "real world."

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, my daughter won second place in the State of Texas spelling U.I.L. competition. She will have an associates degree in Science in a couple of weeks. Her G.P.A. is 3.96 and she's fluent in Spanish. We speak Spanish at home so that we both stay in practice. Keep things live; until later bro!

While the Terms of Service does not address (under Member Conduct) specifically about political speech being considered as objectionable specifically it has proven to be inflammatory as of late. Regardless of this fact, it takes more than one member to participate in such a heated political argument. Therefore, it's only appropriate that all individuals be admonished as it relates to such content so that no individual feel as if they are being targeted or singled out. Perhaps there could be a "political discussions and current events" thread where members may respectfully disagree. Otherwise, it should be made clear that political discourse elsewhere in public forums too often have proven to lead to escalated arguments and that public discussion as such will no longer be tolerated. Group pages may serve a suitable forum for this sort of discourse as well and a political debate group may be utilized for such "venting" if deemed by the current staff as necessary and appropriate.

I am very proud of the job that the staff is doing lately and the recent additions to its ranks were wise choices and will doubtlessly serve well. I believe that the increased activity as of late is a testament to this fact. Thanks for what you do here, you are making a positive difference here at Minitokyo, whether you realize it or not.
